Like most photographers my journey in the craft started at a very young age. Since about the age of 12 I've been drawn to capturing that special moment in time with a camera. Whether it was a landscape or a portrait my early days as a student were utilizing film based cameras and processing the prints in the darkroom. Then the industry was transformed by the digital revolution.

I have a unique perspective of that transformation in that I worked for twenty plus years in the printing business while shooting parttime and saw firsthand how images were utilized after the shots were taken. Eventually in 2005 I went fulltime and have witnessed both industries rapidly change and be affected by the coming of digital age. Some fought the change but I embraced the change - I knew it wasn't going backwards.

I enjoy taking pictures of a variety of subjects and sharing in that vision - for me it just keeps things interesting. I usually don't shy away from an assignment because it might be outside my comfort zone. Sometimes great images come from those assignments. I'm thoroughly enjoying this journey and continually learning more and more with each passing day. I can't wait to see where it takes us!
